Whats Happening

We are pround to announce the introduction of our brand new grill menu from the 1st of December 2014.

We are particularly excited about this development and cant wait to get our brand new chargrill fired up and put our plans into action! We believe that the introduction of the grill, combined with the unique taste of our 'home smoked' produce will really set us apart and give you an unrivalled dining experience in west cumbria

We are about casual dining. We want you to feel that you can relax and enjoy yourselves whilst eating at the scees and we feel that our friendly and informal approach will allow you to do just that. Children and Dogs are more than welcome and we are happy to take parties of all types. To avoid dissapointment we do reccommend booking in advance as we can get very busy at times.

Our Food

The lakeland produce that we use in our menu is of the finest quality and includes a selection of 'home smoked' fish and cheeses. Our meat is 'bred & fed' in cumbria, is all red tractor accredited and we can even tell you which farm it comes from! Our menu tries to offer something different in the lakes whilst still bringing some traditional favourites and pub classics to the table. Please feel free to ask us any questions about our menu or produce. We love our food and want you to love it too!!

The Grill

10oz sirloin steak

8oz fillet steak

served with grilled tomato, panfried mushrooms and english watercress

maybe you would like your steak rubbed with a specially bleneded spice mix such as mexican, cajun or chinese. you could also add a sauce or even a king prawn skewer.

Cider and maple glazed pork loin steak

Lemon and black peppered swordfish steak

Six hour braised lamb shank in a port and mint gravy

Scottish salmon steak roasted with sea salt, lemon and black pepper

Classic moules and frittes with lemon mayonnaise
